Ready for the Regionals

The first time Stormers met up with the Malcolm X College Hawks was on Sept. 15 in Chicago.

The Hawks lead after two games but the Stormers rallied in the third game, winning 27-25. Stormers continued their winning streak by scoring 25-19 in the fourth game and made short order of the fifth game with a score of 15-9.

Their second matchup came on Sept. 19 in Elgin, Ill. Stormers lost the first set by two points but held the lead for the remaining three games.

In their first home game against the Hawks, Stormers won in three sets (25-16, 25-18, 25-19.)

This win brings the Stormers record to 4-13. It’s a great confidence booster as they approach the NJCAA Region IV Quarterfinals, in Rochester, Minn.
