The Academic Support Center offers a new program called Access to Experts. This is a tutoring program held in room M273, the Computer Production Lab.
There, help will be given to students needing to know how to better work in Microsoft Office Suite. Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access will be advised by various Microsoft Office instructors.
Students can come in and learn about the software as many times as they would like during operations. They do not get a grade but do get a free flash drive that also works as a key for priority access to ask the instructor the questions.
They just drop in during hours whenever they need help. To qualify, students fill out the registration form and the $4.50 cost of this service will be paid through the student’s account. This fee covers the whole semester.
The schedule is Monday, 9 a.m.- noon; Tuesday, 1 – 4 p.m. and again from 4 – 7 p.m. and Thursday, 4 – 7 p.m.
Roger Plath, Student Services said, “I just think it’s a great opportunity for students to get that help that maybe their instructor doesn’t have the right office hours for, or maybe they’re just wanting to ask particularly hard questions. That would be great for the student who wants to have that access.”
