After an 84-68 win over Bryant & Stratton College on Saturday, the Stormers men’s basketball team is heading to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. This marks the team’s seventh appearance in the past eight years.
Gaming Highlights
The team is currently 30-3 overall for the season. Sophomore guard Jayden Hackett led the team with 21 points and four rebounds, and freshman guard/forward Turon Rivers added 18 points. Sophomore point guard Qi’Andre Washington scored 13 points, sophomore point guard Raydelh Boutin scored 12 points, and sophomore guard/forward Jordan Jones finished with 10 points.
Head Coach Randy Casey explains how proud he is of the team and how members embraced the pressure of being a target all season, using it as fuel for their postseason run. “We are proud of our guys, knowing the pressure that comes with maintaining success over several years. We look forward to watching the selection show and being able to compete at the national tournament.” Casey said.
