The Stormers men’s basketball team advanced to the next round in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament after an 88-85 victory over Coastal Alabama North on Tuesday, March 17.

Sophomore Qi’Andre Washington had 18 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals. Sophomore guard Jayden Hackett also scored 18 points, adding 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Guard/forward freshman Turon Rivers scored 18 points and 6 rebounds.
Sophomore Noah Daniels was the star of the game during the second half, scoring back-to-back and closing the game with a total of 19 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
After the win, Head Coach Randy Casey praised the team’s hard work, “They’re coming off a win, so they have the energy. I was so proud of our guys for sticking through it.”
On Thursday, March 19, as the Stormers face Parkland College in the Quarterfinals at 7:00 p.m.
