Dane Cook cooks up mixed reactions

Sunday, October 18, was a night of all nights. It had been hyped up talk around campus. Dane Cook was going to be on tour that evening at the Bradley Center, 8 p.m. sharp! ISolated INcident Global Thermo Tour was stopping in Milwaukee. Everyone seemed excited. Or were they? Comedian Dane Cook, with guest comedian Robert Kelly, ascended to the stage in what just might be their most vulgar, lewd, dirty, yet humorous, if you’re into that style, tour yet. As pathetic but true to standard that has become known to be Dane Cook’s comedy, some found this style explicitly foul and irritating, while others enjoyed almost every minute of the show. Is Dane the new age Andrew Dice Clay?

This reporter found Dane a bit late on delivery, but snappy on pick-up, and tastefully offensive. Dane was.quite frankly. typical Dane Cook. A bit racy, but not overdrawn. Robert Kelly’s t-shirt with the cupcake and crossbones was a bit more offensive. As Dane fans hemmed and hawed at the over-abused script, Robert Kelly stole the show. Kelly, whose career is just in infancy, is destined for a future roast on Comedy Central. This was definitely an R rated show, adults only.
