New controller Jeffery Hallow.

Jeffery Hallow has been appointed to the position of controller and he joined the MATC Downtown Campus on Feb. 3. The financial controller oversees the day-to-day activities of the finance team and ensures the institution’s financial functions are organized, efficient and produce accurate financial management by establishing and maintaining financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Hallow has more than 20 years of reputable, diverse financial and accounting experience with local companies such as CompuCom Systems, Diversey and Johnson Outdoors, among others. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and financing from UW-Parkside and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Loyola University in Chicago. He has an active Wisconsin CPA license and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
“The two main components of my position are budgeting and the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for MATC,” Hallow explained.  “Each year a CAFR is generated in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles and is consistent with the legal reporting requirements of the State of Wisconsin.” The CAFR is prepared each fiscal year, and presented in a manner designed to fairly represent the financial position and results of MATC’s financial activities.
Although Hallow is new to the MATC team, he expressed great passion and vision for the future of the campus and beyond.  Hallow’s main objective is to focus on a budget that will allow students the opportunity to receive a good education that will in turn enhance and grow the community with well-educated and strong-minded individuals.
“It has been a pleasant experience joining the MATC community. I’m working diligently to provide a well-rounded impactful budget, and I’m excited about working with an excellent team while providing the best service for MATC,” said Hallow. “I look forward to learning from the team here at MATC and bringing some of the expertise and experience I have embraced over my career path.”
