MATC welcomes new citizens

A candidate for U.S. citizenship holds an American flag as she and nearly 80 other applicants take their Oath of Allegiance during a ceremony in Cooley Auditorium at MATC’s ​D​owntown ​Milwaukee campus on Oct. 6. Judge Beth E. Hanan of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin, addressed the applicants and administered the oath.

The Milwaukee U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office, along with the MATC, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, hosted a special naturalization ceremony on Oct. 6.

A total of 79 applicants, representing 31  countries, took the Oath of Allegiance and became U.S. Citizens.

Judge Beth E. Hanan, United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin, presided at the ceremony.
