Many students, faculty and staff were concerned when they received a DPS email last week about a rape in the S Building. The latest information from DPS states they have identified a person of interest. The individual is cooperating and being referred to the Milwaukee Police Department, which is leading the investigation. According to the email, DPS was notified of the incident Thursday, September 5 at 2:30 p.m. Both the person of interest and victim are believed to be MATC students.
As a precaution, MATC public safety will be conducting additional patrols of the buildings on the Milwaukee Downtown campus.
