International Day: A Walk Around the World, showcased the rich diversity of MATC and highlighted the importance of cultural understanding within the campus community.
Executives of the International Student Association hosted the Tuesday event at the Downtown Campus as part of International Education Week. Students, staff and faculty received “passports” and visited tables representing different countries through cultural displays, visual presentations, and fun facts.
Volunteers wore traditional clothing and shared aspects of their heritage, giving the campus community the opportunity to learn about global traditions, history, and identity.
The event concluded with a lively runway show, where participants modeled cultural fashion with music from their respective countries.
Alham Alipuly, President of the International Student Association, represented Kazakhstan and thanked the volunteers and campus partners who made the celebration possible. “Learning is never-ending,” he said. “Events like this help us connect and grow.”
The Vice President of Student Engagement and Community Impact, Michael Rogers, also spoke at the event. He shared how meaningful it was to see the organization’s growth and the strong collaboration across student groups.
The countries featured in the fashion show were: Mexico, Costa Rica, U.S. American Culture, Colombia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Morocco, India, Azari India, Nepal, Hmong, and Burma. Beyond the runway, flags from all over the world were displayed throughout the event.

International Day: A Walk Around the World (El Día Internacional: Un Paseo Alrededor del Mundo), destacó la rica diversidad de MATC y resaltó la importancia de la comprensión cultural dentro de la comunidad de MATC.
Los ejecutivos de The International Student Association (la Asociación de Estudiantes Internacionales) organizaron el evento el día martes en el Campus del centro de Milwaukee como parte de International Education Week (la Semana de la Educación Internacional). Estudiantes, el personal, maestros y miembros de la administración recibieron “pasaportes” y visitaron mesas que representaron a diferentes países a través de exhibiciones culturales, presentaciones visuales y datos curiosos.
Los voluntarios lucieron vestimenta tradicional y compartieron aspectos de su herencia cultural, brindando a la comunidad de MATC la oportunidad de aprender sobre tradiciones globales, historia e identidad.
El evento concluyó con un animado desfile de moda, donde los participantes lucieron moda cultural con música de sus respectivos países.

Además de la pasarela, se exhibieron banderas de todo el mundo a lo largo del evento.
