I am a collaborator and storyteller who enjoys engaging with college students. I have more than 20 years of experience in higher education where I mentored student media staff and taught courses in journalism and digital media. In addition, I have more than a decade of experience in media and communications. My work has ranged from writing blogs and launching two podcasts to having my stories air locally and nationally on National Public Radio (NPR).

The 2023–2024 academic year began the rebuild of this award-winning organization. The Times had been without an adviser for several years, and there were only two people on staff at the beginning of that academic year. In the years that followed, Times staff members put in the hard work and dedication to provide a voice for students and cover stories the MATC community is interested in. Their efforts have had a profound impact. I am grateful to have the opportunity to guide and assist students as the organization continues to grow.
